Boating offers countless ways to experience the water, yet for many children in our community, that opportunity remains out of reach. Waves of Opportunity, Helmut’s Marine Service’s annual charitable initiative, was created to help change that—giving local kids the chance to get out on the Bay and experience the magic of life on the water.
Now in its third year, the program has taken children from Canal Alliance whale watching and partnered with ELM – Enriching Lives Through Music for a fishing trip. This year, Waves of Opportunity will benefit the Marin Foster Care Association, taking a group of their children fishing on San Francisco Bay.
For many, it will be their first time on a boat—an opportunity to experience the Bay from a whole new perspective and create lasting memories.
Join us during the Sausalito Boat Show for the Waves of Opportunity Happy Hour, the fundraiser supporting this year’s on-the-water experience. The children’s boating trip will take place separately.
Come enjoy an evening on the waterfront and help us create more opportunities for local kids to experience the joy of being on the water.
